Assateague Lighthouse
Chincoteague, VA c1900
Completed in 1833 this 45-foot Lighthouse proved to be inefficient.  After the Civil War,  reconstruction resumed to heighten the Lighthouse to 142-feet tall and was completed in 1867.
Cape Henry Lighthouse
Cape Henry, VA c1905
Built in 1792 after being delayed by the Revolutionary War. This 90-foot octagon lighthouse was used until 1881. It was replaced by a 163-foot cast iron Lighthouse.
