    The Grotto Dickeyville Wisconsin Sewing Kit Souvenir Roadside Attraction Tin Box
    This is a souvenir memento sewing kit box with items inside. The top reads "The Grotto" at Dickeyville, Wisconsin. This round steel metal sewing kit box features a cameo picture on the lid of the roadside attraction called "The Grotto". The Grotto is a religious theme shrine built by hand with unusual materials. The tin measures 3" diameter x 1 3/8" tall. The cameo picture that is raised up measures 2 1/8". The picture looks to be a lithograph image and has a protective cover of some kind. The tin box has rust on outside and is aged as you can see. Inside are sewing kit items...thimbles (metal and plastic including 1 child size metal thimble, brass thimble and plastic advertising thimble), threader tool, pack of needles and  loose pins and needles. The tin is marked, " Made in USA GNCO".  This is a vintage pre-owned item.
